Instead of writing out a long and detailed personal review of the positives and negatives of Google Buzz, I think I’ll just post a few Twitters regarding how real people feel about Google Buzz.

• 1. “I finally have a way to stay connected to my friends!” – I have a feeling this was written with a *hint* of sarcasm.




• 2. “Remember when Microsoft announced Soapbox, the YouTube clone, and everyone laughed. That’s what just happened.” – If you don’t remember Microsoft’s Soapbox Project, then.. wait. Does anyone remember the Soapbox Project?




• 3. “Another way to annoy my friends” – Well then maybe those people aren’t really your friends.




• 4. “Google Buzz. Sigh. We get it, you have a lot of money that you can waste.” – I wouldn’t call it wasting, because social networking is a great idea. Google is just 2 – 3 years late.




• 5. “Google Buzz looks ridiculously lame.” – Well that’s just plain and simple.




• 6. “Google Buzz w/ out Facebook could be a big problem. My Google contact list really kinda sucks. We shall see.” – That’s an interesting angle on things, maybe Google is counting on feeding off of Facebook and other social networking sites to do the grunt work for them.




• 7. “I joked months ago that you could easily kill Twitter by doing the same except with *200* characters. Google took it seriously.” – But will it really kill Twitter?




• 8. “Anyone on this “Buzz” by Google?” – I’m actually not sure. We have almost 50 followers, and I haven’t seen anyone say anything in over a week.




• 9. “I think they should rename Google Buzz to Google Zzzz.” – Haha.




• 10. “Heh, looks like Google Buzz got old on Feb 21^st. That, or I’ve stopped receiving updates from peoples…” – I don’t think it’s the latter.




• 11. “Just disabled Google Buzz and deleted my public profile. No privacy concerns –just doesn’t add value for me.” – With all the talk of Google Buzz privacy infringement, it’s easy to see why people are upset.  Then again, why do you make Facebook, Twitter, and Buzz accounts, then complain about wanting to be private?




• 12. “Let me send you a Wave about how popular Google Buzz is going to be.” – If you aren’t familiar with Google Wave, just do a Google search for Google Wave Reviews, and read pretty much any of the review articles…      Like a fish out of water, it flopped.

Just for fun, I suggest you do a Google search for Google Buzz, select the latest news, and watch the real-time search results roll in from twitter and the rest of the online world.  That’s what I did while creating this blog post, and it’s been a very humorous and enjoyable 45 minutes.
