Why You Should Be Using Google Analytics

As part of our new blog, we are sharing some useful internet marketing tips and strategies which have made our company successful.  At TriMark Solutions, we use Google Analytics to track all of our client’s website interactions.  Google Analytics provides detailed reports of:

  • Visits – Total number of unique visitors to your site.
  • Pageviews – Total page loads of your site, including all interior pages of your site.
  • Pages per Visit – Average number of pages viewed by each visitor to your site.
  • Bounce Rate – Percentage of visitors who arrive on your site, then immediately leave without exploring any other pages within your site.
  • Average Time on Site – The average amount of time each visitor spends on your site.
  • % of New Visits – Percentage of first-time visitors to your site, vs. percentage of returning websurfers.
  • Traffic Sources – Displays percentages of traffic sources, from organic searches, direct traffic, etc.
  • Global Map Overlay – Shows which countries visitors originated from through ISP tracking.

Another unique and beneficial aspect of Google Analytics is searching for web stats by dates.  TriMark Solutions uses this feature for monthly reporting for our clients, keeping them up to date on how their website is performing from month to month.

Google Analytics is a free and remarkably accurate reporting service, and always updates website statistics within 24 hours.  To learn more about Analytics, and to sign up for your free account, visit http://www.google.com/analytics.
