How to Use Analytics to Determine Accurate ROI
Author: Dylan Benton | Filed under: Internet Marketing, SEO - Tip of The DayEvery client of TriMark Solutions receives a monthly analytics report which details information about the number of visitors to the site, how long they spend on each page, where they came from, etc. These reports are VERY valuable and I encourage you all to review them, in depth, on a monthly basis.
Today, I would like to provide you with an example of how you can use your analytics report to determine the effectiveness of other forms of advertising. We work with many affiliate locations of Window World Inc. However, some franchised locations choose other companies in which to invest their advertising budgets. In this example, this Window World invests in AdzZoo, who sets up a profile page, which drives traffic to their website through Google AdWords. In this analytics report, you can not only see how many visitors have come from the profile page, but also how many complete the demo request form, though goals. In the below screen shot, you can see the number of visitors who have come from their AdzZoo profile page, which in this example is 33.
When you dig deeper, you can see that out of the 33 visitors who came to this website from their AdzZoo profile page, 0% completed the demo request form. After reviewing this information in our Analytics reports, you can then determine the effectiveness of your online marketing campaign. This is just one example of how your analytics reports can be valuable in making business related decisions.
We have recently became aware that AdzZoo has been contacting many of our clients, in attempts of persuading our clients to join their team. Through studying various examples of their client results and monthly analytics (such as the above example), we have noticed a trend from AdzZoo. We believe that AdzZoo lacks industry savvy. The analytics and stats we track through some of our (and their) clients show that AdzZoo gains very few leads and conversions for their clients. While we are in no way trying to “bash” or “bad-mouth” the company, we simply feel that AdzZoo will not achieve successful long-term results unless they drastically change their current marketing methods and strategies.
