Blog #2 of our April Blogging Event is here! And we are continuing to discuss effective ways to build and maintain high levels of online visibility, presence, and trust.
Building trust is an important factor in building and maintaining a high level of online visibility and positive presence. How can your company go about building trust with customers you have never met?
Introduce yourself!
Employee Profile pages are a very useful way to provide your website visitors with a bit of background information about the people they are (potentially) doing business with. We are currently in the process of creating a “Get to Know TriMark” section of this blog, which we hope will allow our online visitors to put a face with a name.
If you have a blog, make sure to include an image of the blog author(s). Visitors typically feel more comfortable if they can see a face to go along with a name and writing style. Providing images and background information also gives you a sense of credibility. I have seen many blogs where the background information lists some of the important accomplishments and achievements of the author, such as education, awards, industry experience, etc.
Do you have a business which provides 1on1 service or products directly to the customer? Providing pictures of you and your employees online will make it easier once the customer meets you face to face. Depending on your level of prior communication, they may even feel as if you’ve already met.
Gaining and maintaining high levels of online visibility is extremely important to any business, large or small. There are many ways to increase online visibility and reputation, introducing yourself is just one. We would love to hear what you think about this or any other blogs. Please leave a comment, and I will personally respond shortly!
