Customer Profile:

Elliot Gealy is a professional golfer who turned pro in 1999 after a successful four-year college experience at Clemson University. During his four years, he was a member of the NCAA National Championship runner-up team, and of multiple ACC Championship teams. Gealy entered the professional world of golf in 1999, and over a five-year period of time was a multi-tour winner and the 2004 NGA Hooter's Tour Champion.

After a few minor setbacks, Gealy decided to postpone his career as a golf professional and move into the world of teaching. After several years of honing in on his game as a golf instructor, and as a more mature professional golfer, Gealy was approached by TriMark with an opportunity to sponsor a comeback to professional golf. In July 2010, TriMark signed on as the lead sponsor of Elliot Gealy and also became his internet marketing company and sports agency. Elliot Gealy succeeded at accomplishing his end objective in 2010, which was securing his PGA Tour card and a full exemption spot on the Nationwide Tour.

Business Challenge:

TriMark Solutions approached the opportunity with Elliot Gealy Golf with the objective of creating the brand, controlling the message, and developing the website. This process would take a different perspective than with its average client's needs and objectives. Rarely does TriMark take on opportunities that do not involve search engine optimization, which has always been TriMark's specialty.

In this situation, Elliot Gealy Golf needed everything but search engine optimization. Therefore, account executives decided that the best way to promote Elliot Gealy was through photography and images. The brand was simple and direct, which best described the personality and approach of Elliot Gealy; clean, professional, simple.

TriMark designed multiple logos with the objective of combining the E and the G, the first two letters of Elliot's name, to form the brand which has now become Elliot Gealy Golf. TriMark executive Randy Goins traveled to the final phases of PGA Tour Qualifying School and photographed action of the Nationwide Tour rookie on numerous days. Those photos were cleaned up, and were used to develop the site which has now become ElliotGealy.com.

TriMark has also developed Twitter and Facebook account to help the golfer increase his communication with his fan base. Through the first 60 days, Elliot has generated more than 100 followers on Facebook, and 40 followers on Twitter. Serving as his player/manager, Randy Goins represented Elliot through the process of negotiating contracts and agreements with club manufacturers and has successfully completed the first phase of sponsorships procuring $52,000. These earnings have helped jump-start an expensive endeavor.

As a result of the efforts put forth by TriMark, our clients' level of confidence and ease of communication have soared in an industry where confidence and belief in your ability and skills are critical. We believe our efforts have helped our player move into the biggest opportunity of his life as a professional golfer. Elliot Gealy is now as equipped as he has ever been to succeed at accomplishing his lifelong goal of playing a full season on the PGA Tour.
