Client

Carolina Yard Barns is a custom outdoor shed manufacturer & seller, based in Raleigh, NC, serving all of Wake County & Central NC. Carolina Yard Barns offers a wide range of custom made, high quality, sheds & yard barns, made from premium wood, Hardi-Plank & vinyl siding. Carolina Yard Barns officially opened their doors in September of 2005, after recognizing a need for high quality sheds in the Wake County area. Their sheds are primarily used for general outdoor storage purposes in residential homes.

Challenge

Carolina Yard Barns is the leader in Wake County, NC in terms of new sheds built each year, though their website & online reputation didn't properly reflect this. Their website was out of date & lacked the certain key elements which were not allowing it's potential to be maximized. Also, while carolinayardbarns.com did generally rank well on search engines, it experienced poor analytical data, in specific, their pages/visits, page views & average time on site were low & their bounce rate was high.

Carolina Yard Barns wanted a new website which accurately represented their brand, had better usability, functionality & portrayed their business as the leader in Wake County in custom outdoors sheds & barns. Carolina Yard Barns contacted TriMark in early April to redesign, redevelop & optimize their website with the goal of:

  • Increasing usability & functionality
  • Increasing the amount of new business generated through the website
  • Capitalizing on the users who were visiting their website

Our Solution

At TriMark, we specialize in designing & developing websites that are attractive, easy to use, functional & optimized for search engines, as well as online lead generation. To properly address their needs, we recommended a custom website, designed specifically towards user-friendliness & a combination of search engine optimization (SEO) & pay-per-click (PPC) advertising to increase lead generation.

Impact

On April 30th, 2010, we posted our new website & only a few days later, Google re-indexed our changes. In a comparison of website analytical data from the old website to the site we designed & developed, it's very clear that we've seen some significant increases in many key analytical statistics. The below screenshot compares data from 30 days before we posted the new site & 30 days after we posted the new site:
